Brasil Banda Larga is a free and official application of the Quality Measurement Authority (EAQ) of Brazil, which uses the quality standards determined by Anatel to test the user's Internet speed. The app is available for Android, iOS (iPhone) and can also be accessed on a PC by web browser to check the Internet of your home or mobile phone.

Our opinion

Both in the desktop and mobile version, the Brasil Broadband application offers a unique simplicity. It is lightweight, discreet and has a clean and easy-to-use interface. In fact, for the user, just click a single button and wait for the scan. A big plus point of this EAQ app is the "History" function, which saves all checks already made, be it Wi-Fi or mobile data. This is a great opportunity for the user to understand if there was any variation in the speed contracted with the carrier and if it had cut off after a certain time. The result takes time to exit, but when the app finishes the analysis, it offers complete information such as download speed, also upload speed, and latency. For later reference, the software also stores information such as the model of the device on which the test was performed, system version, Wi-Fi network name, and internet service provider. Complete, the Brasil Broadband app also offers a tab that shows the summary of all speed checks already made, presenting an average of all results, compared to the best of them. Interestingly, this last function is only available in the mobile version.
