it would be mail server (and only mail server) to have to send email.
eg. If you have SPF and DKIM records in your DNS zone, web server will be "treated" by mail server as unknown/spam, and external server (other ISP) know her as a spammer.
The correct/logical topology is:
- Web servers relay all mail traffic to mail server
- Mail server(s) authorize traffic from web servers
We need to add in mail server's (this part is pretty easy)
/etc/postfix/main.cf:
mynetworks = [..], webserver(s) ip
and in web server's (it's hardest part to "manage")
/etc/mail/sendmail.mc
define(`SMART_HOST',`mail.domain.tld')
The problem is Sendmail must relay to the right server (if the environment have multiple (not mirror) mail servers).
I'm not well documented with Sendmail (I'll fix that) to find a manageable solution from ISPConfig (automatically if possible).
If someone have suggestions, i'm open to anything.
I consider this like an important problem from ISPConfig, because the other services cohabit fine in a multiple servers environment.https://git.ispconfig.org/ispconfig/ispconfig3/-/issues/3512Manage multiple servers2018-12-15T18:14:48ZVeshant ChettiarManage multiple serversServers can separate in a cluster DNS, mail, web, etc and can mirror to multiple servers the same content. As the code seems HTML5 and slick, I guess a big jump could be achieved without major effort. Would be great if the look and feel of ISPConfig matches its superb features.
Icons to SVG/Icomoon/font awesome.

I upgraded to Jessie stable today and it includes apache 2.4.x and a few other major/minor changes, and I am changing vhost data to get ispConfig3 working again.
Should I expect big problems?
Are you going to offer Apache 2.4 support for ISPConfig3 - with a patch / or as a fork? (or are you going to make us switch to NginX)?
Could you offer a patch or a guide on how to upgrade to Jessie and apache 2.4.x and continue to use IspConfig3?
I know during the upgrade process, that there is a current problem with initscripts and the /dev/shm symling needs to be deleted so that initscripts can be configured and ifupdown, which depends on it, and the rest of the updates.
Also, spamassassin has a new default setting so the /etc/default/spamassassin file has to be modified - this is explainied in the update process.
The major errors are fail2ban and clamav-daemon which have problems - probably related to apache 2.4 which I am trying to resolve.
Any help / guide /patch appreciated, but it seems do-able now to me.
Thanks for this
