IspConfig DNS+Bind file does not update and creates zone-file with .err in filename
Since the last IspConfig update (some time ago now) I've noticed that I cannot update DNS-Zones anymore. This includes existing dns-zones and creating completly new one. The system is configured to use bind9 - which worked like a charm some time ago before last update.
I've tried to analyse the problem:
- Updating existing DNS-Zone (does not matter which record/type) fails.
- Creating new DNS-Zone fails
in both cases the zone-file is written, but the filename always has ".err" in it. If the zone-name would be "test-me.com" the file is written as "/etc/bind/pri.test-me.com.err". Usually I know ispConfig does this if something went wrong while restarting the service.
In my case this does not seem to be the reason as I tried to copy the given zone-file to "/etc/bind/pri.test-me.com" and restarted bind manually without anything looking like an error. Also the bind logs do not indicate something that looks wrong with the updated zone-files.
Do I have to configure /etc/init.d/bind9 service-name? May be there changed something due to updates?!
Any help is welcome.
