Feature Request: Add checkboxes to exclude aliases and subdomains for LE certificate
Under SITES --> Web Site When creating LE SSL certificates it would sometimes come handy to have two additional options to check/uncheck, beside existing "LetsEncrypt SSL certificate":
- Do not create LE cert for alias domains
- Do not create LE cert for sub-domains
First option would come handy when you have multiple ALIAS domains, used just as a pointer or for CEO optimization, or in case those alias domains DNS are not under your control, or in case there is some CDN in between. By default LE cert wizard from ISPConfig tries to include all alias domains, checks them all and might fail in above mentioned cases. With this option you could generate LE cert only for primary domain.
Second option would come handy if you generate LE SSL for sub-domain, because wizard tries to generate SSL for www.sub.domain.com too, but that usually does not exist. Also it would come handy if you have a bunch of sub-domains for testing purposes or staled ones, which you do not want to protect with LE SSL.
I guess there's not so much work to include those two options.
Hohe it makes sense. Thanx!
