MX record without hostname + CNAME -> invalid zone file
My first bug report was closed:-( But it seems the bug really exists in 3.0.5.4p1.
I have Ubuntu 14.04 + latest ISPConfig installed from http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ispconfig/ISPConfig-3.0.5.4p1.tar.gz. When I have CNAME and MX record without hostname in some zone, err file is generated and the zone is inoperative. I do not get any warning.
My zone records as shown in GUI: A mail 10.0.0.8 0 3600 A test8.org. 10.0.0.8 0 3600 A www 10.0.0.8 0 3600 CNAME www1 www 0 86400 MX mail.test8.org. 10 3600 NS test8.org. ns1.o2.cz. 0 3600 NS test8.org. ns2.o2.cz. 0 3600
The zonefile generated by ISPConfig: root@ispconfig:/etc/bind# cat pri.test8.org.err $TTL 3600 @ IN SOA ns1.o2.cz. info.test8.org. ( 2014073005 ; serial, todays date + todays serial # 7200 ; refresh, seconds 540 ; retry, seconds 604800 ; expire, seconds 86400 ) ; minimum, seconds ;
mail 3600 A 10.0.0.8 test8.org. 3600 A 10.0.0.8 www 3600 A 10.0.0.8 www1 86400 CNAME www 3600 MX 10 mail.test8.org. test8.org. 3600 NS ns1.o2.cz. test8.org. 3600 NS ns2.o2.cz.
Please give it a try. Thank you for help.
