Enchanced PHP version management
Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to add a new feature for better management of PHP versions,
Currently we have to manually compile, configure and install php versions, then go to the panel and add them as additional php versions then select them on the websites. Also it's hard to keep them up to date. When a client asks for a specific version he has to call us and wait until we compile them and make them available.
In other environments like PLESK usually all php versions are compiled already by the provider and you can just select them on the client's control panel so that they can see and use them as they see fit. Moreover during updates the various phps get updated too in minor versions with minimal interaction between hosting provider and customer.
I was checking out php version managers like phpbrew where you can simply install them by typing
phpbrew install php-7.0.10 default
and I think it would be awesome if there could be some form of integration with it so that the php versions can get install by just submitting a form and then be automatically added to the ISPConfig DB for usage from customers.
Is such an integration possible?
