amavis configuration uses deprecated settings resulting in errors on amavisd-release
Since ISPConfig 3.1, amavisd-release is not working any more, but this error is logged:
connect to 127.0.0.1:* failed, attempt #1: Wildcarded port, but client's port not known: 127.0.0.1:*
This error is also described here and here.
The second link already points to the problem in /etc/amavis/conf.d/50-user: the use of wildcards in forward_method and notify_method.
In amavisd-new-2.7.1 (20120429) in Debian Wheezy, I find the following comment and function header:
# (deprecated, only still used with Amavis::OS_Fingerprint)
sub dynamic_destination($$) {
So, this dynamic port configuration is deprecated since quite a while and should not be used in new code. In fact, it causes problems.
It seems the amavisd configuration describes the configuration set up by ISPConfig but uses fixed ports.
