## HTTP Upload
If enabled for the XMPP Domain, prosody will enable HTTP File Upload for every user of the domain. Using this feature, Filetransfers aren't to be made in real time any more (both users online, offer and accept the transfer).
The XMPP client uploads the file to the server and sends a link to the recipient, which can also be a MUC.

### Caveats
- Each user has a quota of 10 MB, auto-deleted after 2 Weeks
- Server stores additional amount of data for each user
- Domain should have a SSL certificate, some clients throw an error if HTTP Upload is used over insecure connections
- If SSL certificate is not trusted, the popular Client gajim also refuses HTTP Uploads
Fix for Gajim >= v1.0.1: `Settings -> Advanced -> Advanced Config Editor` offers an option `httpupload_verify` that can be disabled. Afterwards it works with untrusted or self-signed certificates |
