Persist nginx ispconfig.vhost custom changes (authentication .htaccess)
With the release of ISPConfig 3.0.5.4p3, ispconfig_htaccess.php
has been introduced.
This works great, but the suggested changes to the nginx file ispconfig.vhost
(according to the blog post), these changes will be overwritten on every ISPConfig update.
Run the following command as root user to activate the script: php /usr/local/ispconfig/server/scripts/ispconfig_htaccess.php
....
For nginx webservers, edit the file /etc/nginx/sites-available/ispconfig.vhost and add the lines:
auth_basic “Members Only”;
auth_basic_user_file /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/.htpasswd;right after line 35: “fastcgi_temp_file_write_size 256k;”.
It would be great if we could configure the additional protection with .htaccess
, so this configs can be persisted.
Additional configs could be an exception for localhost:
satisfy any;
allow 127.0.0.1;
deny all;
auth_basic "ISPConfig users only";
auth_basic_user_file /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/.htpasswd;
